Hi folks this is the first post of a new subscribers section called the Little Devotional. This is something outside the usual Coracle email so you will need to separately subscribe to it. At this stage, you should expect an email at least twice a month with a devotion based on a Scriptural passage, an explanation and then how it applies to our daily lives. This section will be written by me, Eric - the Editor of St Moluag’s Coracle. If you enjoy the Coracle and the type of writing we publish I am sure you will like this.
A Taster….
Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
We are not short of things to worry or be pessimistic about. Turn on the news, look up social media, all of humanities failings and errors are on show. We might also feel pessimistic about the future of our Parishes and faith in general. If so, this verse is for you! This passage although written to Israel was always seen as a Prophecy of our Lord Jesus Christ - the Light of the World who came to dispel darkness. If you are a Catholic, we can arise today, we can shine today, because we are members of the Holy Body of Christ, who poured forth His precious Blood to break us free from all bondage and join us to Him. People read books entitled; ‘Your Best Life Now’, but being In Christ is our best life ever. He is all powerful, all knowing and loves His children. He knows our needs and knows what is possible for each one of us. Regardless of what is going on around us we can rest in His love, confident that He has us every step of the way.
